Scoring Alcoholism Signs Self-Test
(A). If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions you may have a problem or the start of a problem.
(B). If you answered “Yes” to three or more of the above questions, you may be an alcoholic. You should contact the Kusnacht Practice to complete an assessment and/or attend a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. If you are unwilling or unable to do these things, you are most likely an alcoholic.
(C). If you answered “Yes” to five or more of the questions, you are probably an alcoholic and may have organ damage from your alcohol addiction. In addition, this is probably causing relationship issues in your family. You should contact the Kusnacht Practice for an assessment and complete medical examination.
Advice for loved ones and family
If you're taking this test to see if a loved one has a problem and you determine they would say “Yes” to any of the above questions, contact us to learn more about their problem and visit an Alanon meeting in your area to see how best to help. This is important because family members often unintentionally do things that help their loved ones continue drinking. You can actually become addicted to an addicted family member.
